CAT C7.1 & C9.3 Common-Rail Injectors — Not HEUI
The two common-rail families whose names look like C7 and C9 — and trip buyers constantly.
C7.1 and C9.3 are the newer common-rail series that succeed the C7 and C9 HEUI engines in several machine lines. The similar names are the trap: a C7.1 and a C7 take different injectors, and C9.3 shares no injectors with the C9 HEUI despite the shared name family.
We supply 392-9044 for the C7.1 and 363-0493 for the C9.3 / C9.3B, both confirmed against the engine version and the number on your old unit. If your engine plate reads C9.3, the fuel system is high-pressure common rail — the C9 HEUI pages are the wrong place to order from.
